Honourable chairs, esteemed delegates, and respected guests...​

On behalf of the SJIMUN26 Secretariat Team, it is with great privilege to warmly invite you to St Joseph's Institution International Model United Nations 2026! To see our lifelong goal of shaping debate within school grounds, inviting aspiring delegates and dais members to engage in proactive debate, to open our doors to our first panel of debaters and judges, goes beyond words of gratitude. We welcome you, dear reader, to join us in commemorating a legacy where the voice of the youth pioneers in bridging the gaps within our diverse society. 

 

This year's theme is “Justice in Legacy, Legacy in Action”. This motto not only cements the start of a new legacy within our institution, but the strive for equality for all persons, and a call to shape these boundless words into form. Over the next three days, you will engage in cooperative dialogue with like-minded delegates, navigating through complex legalities and painstaking perspectives that we call our morally grey world. However, do not forget delegates that during the countless conferences that you encounter in the past, present and future, that it is not just three aimless days of debate, but also three chaotic days of socialising. Equally bicker with your opposition within council sessions as you would equally bicker with your newfound friends during lunch or social night. 

 

Our point is that MUN conferences hold much more than just enhancing your vernacular in the world of diplomacy, it is about networking, listening, and forging lasting friendships with those we meet along the way. No matter if you are a beginner MUNer, or a seasoned delegate, SJIMUN’26 welcomes you and your esteemed institution with open arms to attend either as a group delegation, or an individual delegate. 

 

So join us dear delegates, Board of Dias members, respected teachers, and fellow guests, as we depart on a three-day weekend, arguing for daring policies we hope shall one day be adopted into our modern world.
